Susan is an experienced workshop leader working across all ages with a passion for community and outreach work. She is a reliable and adaptable musician and leader able to improvise and collaborate across all musical genres. She is a highly-trained classical soprano with excellent keyboard skills with an energetic, empathic and warm delivery.

Snape Maltings

Susan started specialising as a workshop leader when she was invited to co-lead with Robert Gildon The Friday Afternoons Project.  She was then invited to co-lead a three year education and inclusion programme for Snape Maltings (formerly Aldeburgh Education). The 'Aldeburgh Sings' project involved visiting various primary schools in Ipswich every month between 2015-2018, creating, devising and leading a singing programme designed to establish a culture of inclusive singing in the schools.

Lost Chord Charity

Susan is an avid supporter of music in the community and was invited by the Lost Chord Charity to tour Residential Care Homes in London devising and performing programmes specially designed to be interactive with residents with Parkinson’s and Dementia. 2017-18

Sing to Beat Parkinson's

Susan has undergone training with Grenville Hancox and Nicola Wydenbach, supported by the Canterbury Cantata Trust. She completed a training courses in crafting singing workshops for people with Parkinson’s and Dementia. She was then invited to shadow for Medway Skylarks singing group, As a result, she was asked to lead sessions for King’s Skylarks, a Parkinson’s singing group in King’s College Hospital, London, and Pimlico Skylarks.

Classical Babies Concerts

With Nadine Andre, Susan devised interactive concerts for babies, their parents, grandparents and carers in mind.  With her own unique delivery, Susan's concerts proved very popular and she has been invited by JW3 (Jewish Community Centre London) to host another concert in November 2018.
